Welcome to Tomb Raider art Encyclopendia made by Red_Lion or Tom Braider900.

This is a website dedicated to the art and other titbits of Tomb Raider in the Core Design period (1995-2006). On each artwork in the game, I'll mention it and if possible show the original artwork.

Tomb Raider 1
Tomb Raider 1

The first game of Tomb Raider. It was released in 1996 for the Playstation, Sega Saturn and PC. The concept was created by Toby Gard. Paul Douglas was the main programmer with Gavin Rummery and Jason Gosling. Level designers are Neil Boyd and Heather Gibson. FMV by Peter Bernard. Music by Nathan McCree.

Tomb Raider 2
Tomb Raider 2

The second game, Toby Gard and Paul Dougles left, but much of the team joined to create the game. Lara visits China, Venice, Somewhere in the ocean, Tibet, China again and England.

"Tomb Raider 4"
Tomb Raider 4

The fourth game of Tomb Raider. It was released in 1999 for the Playstation first, the PC and in 2000 for Dreamcast. The game was developed by a huge team. The original team was left by Tomb Raider III and they created project Eden.

"Tomb Raider AoD
Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness

The Sixth game of Tomb Raider. It was released in 2003 for the Playstation II and PC.


Lara has been framed for murdering Werner von Croy, her former teacher. She visits the Louvre and an archaeological dig under the Louvre. Then she visits Prague to continue her search for the real murderer of Werner von Croy.
